To see some of last year's magic, be sure to check out video of the event below.
Sixty-five students will be chosen at random from all the entries and will be given the chance to work alone or with a partner (partner does not have to be selected in drawing) to construct the gingerbread house of their dreams. Last year, students used over 700 pounds of gingerbread, 1,200 pounds of icing, and 2,000 pounds of candy to create fifty unique houses - from classic houses to dog houses...and even a lighthouse!
What better way to kick off the holiday season (and forget about your finals for a few hours) than by reminiscing back to your childhood for inspiration to create your gingerbread masterpiece! Even if you don't build a gingerbread house, you can still get in the holiday spirit by visiting the Gingerbread Village in the Xhibition Kitchen on Friday (12/9) and Monday (12/12). Don't miss this opportunity to see all the completed gingerbread houses - and to vote for your favorites!
