Hi everyone! Have you been to any of the free events in our cool Xhibition Kitchen located inside Stetson West? Here are some of the recent highlights:

Two weeks ago we hosted award winning cookbook author Melissa Clark who served up a spicy three meat chili and honey whole wheat corn bread from her new cookbook "Cook This Now." Last week’s event, Cocinar Con Gusto, held in conjunction with Northeastern's Latino/a Student Cultural Center, featured chef/owner Carlos Mendez and chef Sergio Mendez of Viva Mexican Grill and Jose’s Mexican Restaurant. Those who attended were treated to freshly made guacamole and delicious chile rellenos.

We are really looking forward to hosting Paula Wolfert this Thursday, November 17. I had the rare chance to hear a presentation she gave on Mediterranean cuisine last week. It was so inspiring and to hear her give such an insightful and thought provoking look into cuisine from a different part of the world was a wonderful opportunity. Next week in the XK, she will be focusing on the cuisine of Morocco. Her new cookbook, "The Food of Morocco," has quickly become the definitive book on Moroccan cuisine. From tender berber skillet bread to spiced harira, "The Food of Morocco" provides clear and inviting recipes all infused with her unparalleled knowledge of this delicious food. We are so excited and fortunate to have her here at Northeastern and in such a great space like the Xhibition Kitchen. Stop by for her presentation or to simply check out the space if you haven’t already.

We have a very full calendar of James Beard award winning chefs and authors lined up for the remainder of this semester as well as all next semester (click here for the complete schedule) so please take advantage of these great opportunities to see these world renowned chefs and authors up close!
